ABOUT DOKSAL
Engineering marine automation with a practical mindset.
Doksal provides marine automation and engineering solutions for vessels, shipyards and marine operators — combining automation, control, integration, commissioning and technical support under one engineering approach.
OUR ENGINEERING FOCUS
01 — WHO WE ARE
Marine engineering that starts with the real problem.
Marine automation is rarely about a single PLC, a single control panel or a single software application. A vessel is a connected operational environment where machinery, electrical systems, control systems, communication networks and operators all have to work together.
Our approach is to understand that environment first, then develop the engineering solution around it.
We work across automation and control disciplines, supporting both new-build projects and existing vessels.
From system design and programming to commissioning, troubleshooting and technical service, we focus on solutions that remain practical onboard.
02 — OUR APPROACH
Engineering is more than making a system work.
A good marine automation solution must be understandable, maintainable and reliable under real operating conditions. That principle influences how we design, integrate and support every system.
Understand the Vessel
We start with the machinery, operational requirements, existing systems and interfaces instead of forcing the vessel into a predefined architecture.
Build the Right Architecture
PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, communication networks, controllers and third-party equipment are selected and integrated according to the actual application.
Support the System
Commissioning is not the end of the project. We support troubleshooting, modifications, upgrades and future expansion throughout the system lifecycle.
03 — WHAT WE WORK WITH
Across the vessel’s control layer.
Our engineering capabilities cover the technologies and interfaces that connect vessel machinery, power systems, operators and operational data.
IAS & Marine Automation
Integrated automation, machinery monitoring, alarms, interlocks, control logic and vessel-wide supervision.
PMS & Generator Control
Power management, synchronisation, load sharing, generator control and blackout-related functions.
PLC / HMI / SCADA
Control software, operator interfaces, SCADA systems, alarm management and data integration.
Industrial Networks
Integration of industrial communication systems and third-party equipment across the vessel.
Commissioning & Troubleshooting
Onboard testing, fault finding, commissioning, modifications and functional verification.
Control Board Repair
Diagnostic assessment and repair support for electronic and control boards used in automation systems.
04 — MARINE MINDSET
Designed for engineering rooms. Proven onboard.
Marine environments do not leave much room for assumptions. Equipment has to communicate correctly, control logic has to behave predictably and faults have to be diagnosed efficiently.
That is why we approach automation from both the engineering and field-service perspective.
Practical over complicated
The best solution is not necessarily the most complex one. We aim for architectures that operators and engineers can understand and maintain.
Integration over isolation
Vessel systems rarely exist independently. We focus on making equipment, control systems and data communicate reliably.
Serviceability matters
Diagnostics, documentation and maintainability are considered as part of the engineering — not as an afterthought.
The vessel comes first
Technology is a tool. The final solution must serve the vessel, its machinery and the people operating it.
05 — PROJECT LIFECYCLE
From engineering desk to vessel operation.
Our role can begin at any stage of a marine automation project. We can develop a system from the ground up, integrate into an existing architecture or step in when a vessel needs technical support.
Engineering
System architecture, control philosophy, I/O, documentation and technical definition.
Development
PLC, HMI, SCADA and system integration development according to project requirements.
Commissioning
FAT, onboard commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and sea trial support.
Lifecycle Service
Technical support, modifications, retrofit, modernization and future expansion.
06 — WHY DOKSAL
A technical partner, not just a system supplier.
Marine projects often involve equipment from different manufacturers, legacy systems, limited documentation and operational pressure. Our value is in bringing those pieces together and finding a workable engineering path.
Independent Engineering
We can work across different automation platforms, communication systems and equipment manufacturers according to project requirements.
Engineering & Field Experience
We consider both the software architecture and the realities of installation, commissioning and operation onboard.
Long-Term Perspective
Systems should remain supportable after delivery. We design with troubleshooting, maintenance and future modifications in mind.
